Lindsay Enright is currently accepting new clients for virtual appointments only

As an individual and family therapist, I am comfortable assisting clients through some of the most serious crises including drug addiction, self-injury, emotionally and physically abusive relationships, grief/loss, separation and divorce. I also work with clients to address issues involving difficult life transitions, behavioral concerns, and academic performance particularly working with children and adolescents. As a couple therapist, I work with intention to encourage couples to explore their styles and patterns of communication as well as their roles and expectations–whether you are dating, engaged, married, or contemplating the status of your current relationship. I strive to connect with every member involved in the therapeutic process in order for everyone to be acknowledged, heard, and understood. It is my hope that regardless of my clients’ interest and reasoning for pursuing therapy, they achieve personal and relational growth, and see and understand both themselves and others more clearly.

I consider myself an easy-going, interactive, and accepting therapist who provides a collaborative approach. I explore all concerns, meeting you where you are, and offer a safe and peaceful space to assist families of all sorts and sizes. I am an ally who supports and advocates for equal civil rights, gender equality, and LGBTQ+ social movements.

Janine Joly-DeMars is currently accepting new clients for both in-person and virtual sessions in the Bethesda office

My client-centered, strength-based approach empowers and motivates my clients to direct the pace and trajectory of therapy. I assist my clients with identifying their goals for treatment, as well as the constraints preventing them from achieving them. As the therapeutic process unfolds, we work together to determine how to remove the constraints—and sometimes explore how they got there in first place. I am knowledgeable about and comfortable with a wide range of family therapy models and interventions, all of which offer useful tools for understanding how problems originate, as well as how to effect positive change here and now.

Conducting therapy is an exercise in curiosity, but it is not a difficult exercise because people and their relationships are fascinating to me. I believe that hearing each new client’s story is a sacred privilege, and I am blessed to be allowed to perform it. The resilience, resourcefulness, and capacity for affection evident in each person, couple, and family that enters my office never fail to impress me. When I am not at work, I try to care for my mind, body, and spirit, which generally takes the form of cooking, eating, and watching YouTube videos with my husband.

Diana Nesko is currently accepting new clients for virtual appointments only

I do not believe that therapy is “one size fits all”. My approach to therapy is very integrative and humanistic in that I use a variety of techniques/mediums that will fit the situation and people involved. In making sure that each session is tailored to your needs, collaboration is key to the therapeutic success. You are the expert in your life and I am your facilitator of self understanding. Together, we can achieve insight needed to achieve your goals and tackle what is in front of you. I take pride in being able to empower clients to create meaningful experiences, foster change, build their sense of resiliency, and also sustain a balanced lifestyle/outlook.

I take a very personable approach to therapy and will create a non-judgemental atmosphere filled with positivity and encouragement to challenge my clients to utilize their strengths in order to overcome challenges. There may be other factors in your life that tells you what you “should be” doing but navigating your needs and what you want to see in yourself and/or relationship is what takes priority in the therapeutic setting. Whether it be day to day challenges, processing past issues, or moving forward towards positive changes, I am here to help strengthen and enhance. I am married and have two kiddos. When I’m not going on family adventures or kickboxing, I am trying new restaurants with my husband, rough and tumbling a 5-year old Spiderman, or using my dance training to share the love of movement with my Princess.

Thank you for considering me as a potential individual, couple, or family therapist. It is my firm belief that the single greatest determinant of success in therapy is the strength of the relationship between the therapist and the client. I will approach you with warmth, candor, and curiosity; as a client, I want you to feel safe, understood, and free to be all of who you are in the therapy room. That said, I am certainly not the right therapist for everyone, and I encourage you to keep looking and interviewing until you find the clinician who is the right fit for you. If that’s not me, I’m happy to assist you in connecting with trusted colleagues who may be a better fit.

Therapy is serious work, but that doesn’t mean every moment has to feel somber. I find that warm, empathetic humor can be a powerful tool in working through many of the painful situations that we might face together in therapy. I do my best to bring to each session the ideal that kindness and a light heart can be healing. I enjoy the opportunity to form honest, meaningful relationships with my clients, and can truly say that I am passionate about my work and look forward to coming to my office each day. I consider it a great privilege to be invited into my clients’ lives and relationships, and find the experience of making a positive difference to be incredibly rewarding.

This year marks 20 years as a therapist for me, and in that time I’ve had the privilege of working with many different clients in a wide variety of settings, preparing me to work effectively with virtually anyone who comes to therapy committed to working toward healing. My individual clients include those who wish to work on improving their lives in any number of ways — dealing with a mental health diagnosis; making decisions about career, work, or family; or pursuing a more satisfying, authentic, and fulfilling approach to life and living. I work with couples of all different ages, stages, and compositions, and enjoy working with both heterosexual and same-sex couples. I frequently help couples facing issues including communication challenges, infidelity, loss of passion, infertility, parenting struggles, and many others. Dating and engaged couples often see me to discuss ways to strengthen their relationships, and make decisions about whether and when to solidify their commitment. I work with many couples struggling to decide if and how to continue to work on deeply troubled relationships. I see families wishing to deal with family communication issues, identifying and maintaining appropriate boundaries within relationships, and working through separation and divorce in a way that maintains family harmony and personal authenticity.

When I’m not working, I love to read, exercise, play the piano, travel, cook/bake, and spend time with my family and friends. My husband and I live in Northern Virginia with our two children.
